The Cape Elizabeth Fire-Rescue Department responds to calls for service 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for all fire and medical emergencies. This service is provided through municipal funding and is free of charge to our residents and visitors. As is common practice throughout the industry, the department charges individuals (in most cases the insurance company of the individual) for medical treatment, as allowable by law.

With the exception of routine emergency responses, the Cape Elizabeth-Fire Rescue Department may contract its services to private and public entities within the Town of Cape Elizabeth and neighboring jurisdictions. In most cases, this involves standby coverage at road races, fundraisers, and sporting events. Please see the contract services tab below for rate information.
